VW & Skoda DSG Mechatronics Replacement in Hyderabad

Bench-test before replace — DQ200 / DQ250 / DQ381 / DQ500 mechatronic specialists.

Hyderabad's most-recommended independent Volkswagen & Skoda specialist since 2015 — 25,000+ cars serviced, 4.9★ on Google from 1,200+ verified reviews, ODIS & VCDS certified, in-house mechatronic bench rebuild, 1-year written warranty.

The mechatronic unit on every VW Group DSG — DQ200, DQ250, DQ381 and DQ500 — is the single most expensive component to get wrong. The wrong workshop will simply order a new unit and bill you ₹2 lakh+. Metre Per Second does the opposite: we remove the mechatronic, bench-test it on a hydraulic jig to confirm exactly which component has failed, and only then decide between a valve-body / solenoid rebuild (₹38,000 – ₹85,000) or a full OE mechatronic replacement (₹95,000 – ₹4,15,000 depending on variant). Every replacement is genuine VW, SVM-coded online, basic-settings adapted, and road-tested before delivery. 1-year / 20,000 km warranty.

Metre Per Second has been Hyderabad's go-to independent workshop for Volkswagen and Skoda owners since 2015. Our DSG/DCT bench, ODIS-certified electrical bay, and ZF-trained transmission technicians do the same work the showroom does — only faster, written, and at 35–55% lower price. Every job is logged on a job card, photographed mid-repair, and backed by a written 1-year warranty signed by the workshop manager.

  • Mechatronic bench-test diagnosis: Unit removed from the gearbox and tested on a hydraulic jig — the only way to confirm internal solenoid, sensor or board failure.

Our Diagnostic & Repair Process

  1. Initial fault scan: Full ODIS / VCDS scan of TCM, ECM, ABS and gateway modules to capture every fault code and live data stream.
  2. Mechatronic pressure & temperature test: Live monitoring of K1/K2 clutch pressures, accumulator pressure, oil temperature and solenoid current draw to isolate the failed component.
  3. Decision: rebuild vs replace: If the valve body, solenoid pack or ECU board is the root cause, we rebuild the mechatronic unit. If the housing is damaged, we fit a new or remanufactured OE unit.
  4. Mechatronic removal & bench-test: Pan-down, fluid drain, mechatronic unit removal and full bench-test on a hydraulic jig to verify the failure mode before any parts are ordered.
  5. Replacement / rebuild & DSG fluid renewal: New mechatronic unit installed (or rebuilt unit refitted), DSG fluid + filter replaced with VW G 052 182 / G 052 529 spec only.
  6. TCU coding & basic-setting adaptation: New mechatronic SVM-coded to the chassis, basic settings run, clutch adaptation completed via guided functions, road test, post-test scan & report.

Customer Reviews

Polo had limp mode + “Workshop” warning. Authorised dealer quoted ₹1.95L for new mechatronic. Metre Per Second bench-tested mine, rebuilt valve body for ₹54,000. 7 months on, smooth as new.

Pradeep S., VW Polo GT TSI (★★★★★)

Octavia DQ250 mechatronic was throwing P17BF. They sourced a properly rebuilt European reman unit, SVM-coded it, and the cost was less than half a new one. Driving brilliantly again.

Lakshmi N., Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI (★★★★★)

Tiguan DQ500 mech failed at 95,000 km. Got a genuine VW unit replaced + adaptation done in 4 days. Faultless ever since. Best DSG specialist in Hyderabad.

Imran F., VW Tiguan 4Motion (★★★★★)

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need to replace the mechatronic, or can it be repaired?

In about 60% of the DSG mechatronic cases we see, the unit can be rebuilt in-house — replacing only the failed solenoid, accumulator or ECU board. Bench-testing tells us which path to take. We never push replacement when a rebuild will do the job.

What is the difference between OE replacement and remanufactured mechatronic?

OE replacement = a brand-new genuine VW mechatronic unit. Remanufactured = a used unit professionally rebuilt to OE-equivalent spec by a specialist (typically European), with a warranty. Reman is 30–45% cheaper but requires careful supplier selection — we only use vetted reman partners.

How long does mechatronic replacement take?

2–4 working days for a straight replacement (after parts arrive); 4–6 days for a rebuild because of the bench-test and valve-body work.

Will the new mechatronic shift exactly like the old one used to?

Yes — once SVM coding and adaptation are done correctly. We use ODIS guided functions for kiss-point teach-in and complete an adaptation drive before delivery. Shift quality is verified against a healthy reference vehicle.

Do you give a warranty on mechatronic work?

1-year / 20,000 km parts-and-labour warranty on rebuilds and OE replacements. Documented on the job card with all part numbers, photos and post-repair adaptation values.
