Airmatic and air-suspension repair at Metre Per Second in Hyderabad costs ₹18,000–₹55,000 per strut or air bag, ₹22,000–₹65,000 for a compressor with its dryer, and ₹15,000–₹40,000 for a valve block, all quoted after a smoke and soap leak test with live ride-height data. We always find the leak before fitting a compressor, because a new pump fitted to a leaking system simply burns out again. Book it when the car sits low on one corner overnight, the compressor runs for a long time before the car rises, or you get a suspension warning with the ride locked at one height.
Metre Per Second — Premium Car Service and Repair runs Hyderabad's dedicated luxury-car air suspension cell. Pneumatic suspension is not a job for a general garage: a leaking air strut, a worn compressor, a stuck valve-block solenoid and a faulty ride-height sensor all throw similar 'vehicle too low' warnings. We read live data and stored fault codes on the manufacturer's own platforms — Mercedes STAR/XENTRY, BMW ISTA, Audi ODIS, Porsche PIWIS and JLR Pathfinder/SDD — so you only pay for the component that has actually failed.
Air suspension is a precision system of air springs, a compressor and dryer, a solenoid valve block, ride-height sensors and a control module that constantly trims each corner. Each brand fails in its own way — Mercedes AIRMATIC compressors and valve blocks, BMW rear air bags, Audi adaptive-air struts, Range Rover EAS compressors and Porsche PASM dampers. Our technicians repair all of them at component level instead of the dealer's 'replace the whole unit' approach, which is why we fix an overnight droop or a constantly-running compressor correctly the first time.
Over 15 years and 25,075+ vehicles in Hyderabad, we have built our name on honest diagnosis, OEM or premium-aftermarket parts (Arnott, Wabco, Bilstein, Continental) and a genuine 1-year warranty on parts and labour. Free insured pickup and drop across Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Hi-Tech City, Kondapur, KPHB and Kukatpally means your luxury car reaches our bay without you losing a day.
Compressor that runs constantly, overheats or fails to hold pressure on Mercedes AIRMATIC, BMW X5/X7, Audi Q7 and Range Rover EAS — OEM, Wabco, Hitachi or Arnott compressor with relay, fuse and dryer renewal.
Leaking front or rear air struts and perished rubber air bags on Range Rover, Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE/GLS — OEM or premium aftermarket (Arnott / Bilstein) per corner, not the whole axle.
Stuck or leaking solenoid valve block — a classic Mercedes AIRMATIC and Audi adaptive-air fault that traps a corner low or keeps the compressor cycling. Repaired or replaced and recoded.
Faulty ride-height level sensors and broken sensor links that cause uneven ride height or a stuck mode — replaced and recalibrated to spec on the OEM tool.
Chafed harnesses, failed compressor relays, corroded connectors and split nylon air lines, O-rings and quick-connect fittings — the slow leaks that cause overnight droop, repaired properly.
Full OEM scan, smoke/soap leak test and post-repair ride-height calibration on STAR, ISTA, ODIS, PIWIS or Pathfinder, with a 24-hour leak retest and load road test before handover.
We fix the failed compressor, strut, valve block or sensor — not the dealer's 'replace the whole air supply unit', so you save 50–60% without losing quality.
STAR/XENTRY, ISTA, ODIS, PIWIS and JLR Pathfinder/SDD — the same tools the dealership uses — so fault tracing, coding and ride-height calibration are dealer-accurate.
Every job gets a full smoke/soap leak test of the pneumatic circuit, so we find the real leak instead of throwing parts at the symptom.
Genuine OEM or quality Arnott, Wabco, Bilstein and Continental parts — your choice. We never fit no-name budget air-suspension parts.
Doorstep collection by experienced drivers across Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Hi-Tech City, Kondapur, KPHB and Kukatpally.
Every air suspension repair is backed by a 1-year warranty on parts and labour — proof we stand behind the work.
The rubber air spring is a wear item. After years and high mileage it cracks and leaks, causing overnight droop and a corner sitting low — the single most common air-suspension failure.
An undetected leak makes the compressor run constantly to maintain pressure. The extra duty cycle overheats and burns out the compressor, usually after 80,000+ km on Mercedes and BMW.
Solenoids in the valve block stick or leak internally, trapping a corner low or keeping the compressor cycling — a classic AIRMATIC and Audi adaptive-air problem.
A faulty ride-height sensor or a snapped sensor link feeds the module wrong data, so the car sits uneven or refuses to change height.
Brittle nylon air lines, hardened O-rings and loose quick-connect fittings develop slow leaks that drop ride height overnight and overwork the compressor.
Speed-breakers, broken patches and high underbonnet temperatures accelerate rubber ageing and stress the compressor — air systems here work harder than in cooler climates.
The moment the car sits low overnight or the compressor runs longer than usual, get a leak test. A small strut weep caught early prevents an expensive compressor burnout.
A 'vehicle too low' or air-suspension fault light means the system is already in limp mode. Driving on it risks bottoming out and damaging struts and bump-stops.
Moisture that gets past a tired dryer corrodes valves and freezes lines. Renewing the dryer with compressor work keeps the whole circuit dry and reliable.
A yearly scan on the manufacturer tool catches a weak compressor, a drifting sensor or a slow leak before it strands you with a corner on the bump-stops.
When one rear air bag perishes the other is usually close behind. On high-mileage cars, doing the axle together avoids a second workshop visit.
Slow down for speed-breakers and broken patches and let the system finish raising before you set off in raised modes — it reduces strain on struts and air bags.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 · AIRMATIC
Problem: Car sat on the bump-stops every morning and the compressor whirred constantly. The dealer quoted ₹1,85,000 for a full OEM compressor and air-supply unit.
Work done: A STAR/XENTRY scan and smoke leak test showed a worn compressor plus a slow front-strut leak. We fitted a Wabco-OEM compressor with a new dryer and relay, sealed the strut, and ran full ride-height calibration with a 24-hour leak retest.
Outcome: Magic-carpet ride restored and the system holds height overnight, delivered with a 1-year warranty. (₹62,000)
Land Rover Range Rover L405 · EAS
Problem: Electronic Air Suspension collapsed overnight and threw a height fault. JLR quoted ₹2,40,000 for compressor and valve block plus a paid scan.
Work done: A free JLR Pathfinder scan and smoke test pinpointed two leaking air bags and a leaking valve-block port — not a dead compressor. We replaced the two air bags, repaired the valve block, recoded and calibrated the system, and photo-documented every step.
Outcome: Full ride-height function and overnight pressure-holding restored at roughly half the dealer quote. (₹1,15,000)
Audi Q7 4M · Adaptive Air Suspension
Problem: Persistent air-suspension warning for months. The dealer insisted on replacing all four struts for ₹4,50,000.
Work done: An ODIS scan and smoke leak test confirmed only the two front struts were leaking. We fitted Arnott premium struts to the two affected corners, coded and adapted them to the VIN on ODIS, and calibrated ride height.
Outcome: Warning cleared and ride quality restored for a fraction of the dealer quote, with a 1-year warranty. (₹78,000)
★★★★★ Karthik Rao, Jubilee Hills — Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222
My S-Class AIRMATIC compressor failed at 70,000 km. The Mercedes dealer quoted ₹1,85,000. MPS fitted a Wabco-OEM compressor for ₹62,000 with full ride-height calibration on STAR Diagnostic. Same magic-carpet ride, 1-year warranty, a third of the price.
★★★★★ Sandeep Mehta, Banjara Hills — Land Rover Range Rover Vogue
My Range Rover EAS dropped overnight. JLR wanted ₹3,000 just for the scan plus ₹2,40,000 for compressor and valve block. MPS did a free leak test, found two leaking air bags and the valve block, total ₹1,15,000 — documented with photos. Outstanding luxury-car workshop.
★★★★★ Imran Khan, Gachibowli — Audi Q7 4M
My Q7 air suspension warning was on for months and the Audi dealer kept saying replace all four struts (₹4,50,000). MPS coded on ODIS, replaced only the two leaking struts with Arnott premium for ₹78,000, and kept me updated on WhatsApp throughout.
★★★★★ Naveen Kumar, Madhapur — BMW X5 G05
Rear air bags perished and I got the 'too low' warning. BMW wanted to replace the whole shock unit. MPS replaced just the air bags for ₹45,000 and coded it on ISTA. Ride is back to original BMW comfort — saved over a lakh.
★★★★★ Praveen Reddy, Hi-Tech City — Porsche Cayenne
PASM fault on my 2018 Cayenne. Porsche quoted ₹95,000 for a height sensor and ₹65,000 for calibration alone. MPS replaced the sensor for ₹12,000 and calibrated on PIWIS for ₹6,500. Honest pricing and real technical depth.
★★★★★ Vijay Anand, Kondapur — Mercedes-Benz GLE 350d
Compressor was running constantly — a slow leak in the front-right strut. MPS did a smoke test, found a tiny crack in the air bag and replaced just that strut for ₹52,000 versus a Mercedes quote of ₹1,40,000. Picked up and dropped back to Kondapur.
The airmatic suspension repair terms that appear on our estimates, job cards and diagnostic reports — in plain English, written by the technicians who use them.
It depends on the failed component. At Metre Per Second, height sensor replacement is ₹6,000–₹18,000, air strut or air bag replacement is ₹15,000–₹95,000 per unit, valve block repair is ₹18,000–₹55,000, and compressor replacement is ₹35,000–₹85,000 — typically 50–60% less than dealer pricing. You always get a fixed quote after a free diagnosis.
Yes — AIRMATIC and Active Body Control (ABC) are core specialities. We handle S-Class (W222/W223), E-Class, GLE, GLS, G-Class and CLS — compressors, valve blocks, air struts, sensors and wiring, with STAR/XENTRY scanning and ride-height calibration.
Yes. Land Rover Electronic Air Suspension is one of our strengths — Range Rover, Sport, Velar, Discovery and Defender. Common repairs are compressor (Hitachi or Arnott), valve block, air bags, height sensors and JLR Pathfinder/SDD calibration, usually 50–60% cheaper than the JLR dealer.
Yes — BMW X5/X6/X7, 7-Series and iX on ISTA; Audi Q7/Q8/A8/A6 Allroad adaptive air on ODIS; and Porsche Cayenne, Panamera and Macan PASM on PIWIS-equivalent tooling. We replace struts, compressors, valve blocks and sensors and code/calibrate to the VIN.
Both — your choice. Genuine OEM gives factory-perfect fit and longest life, while premium aftermarket like Arnott, Wabco, Bilstein and Continental gives 80–90% of OEM life at 40–50% of the cost, with the same 1-year MPS warranty. We never fit no-name budget air-suspension parts.
The usual causes are a leaking air strut or air bag (the most common, causing overnight droop), a worn compressor, a stuck valve-block solenoid, a faulty ride-height sensor, or chafed wiring and relays. A free OEM scan and smoke leak test at MPS pinpoints the exact fault in about 30 minutes — no guesswork.
Diagnosis and leak test take 2–3 hours and are free if you book the repair. A single strut or air bag is usually a same-day job (4–6 hours). Compressor and valve-block work typically takes 1–2 working days including calibration and the 24-hour leak retest. We send WhatsApp updates throughout.
