Airmatic strut
Mercedes-Benz's air-sprung damper unit, where a rubber air bag replaces the steel coil spring and an adaptive valve controls damping. The rubber bellows perishes with heat and ozone after roughly 7–10 years, producing a pinhole leak that makes the car sit low overnight on that corner. Air suspension compressor
